TJC Pins is a family business with roots dating back to the 1980s — long before the internet made starting a business easier. It was founded by my aunt, Wanell, a true trailblazer who built the company through mail-order catalogs and word of mouth. At a time when entrepreneurship looked very different, especially for women, she created something meaningful from the ground up.
She later stepped away from the business to care for her daughter, Melissa, who faced health challenges. When the time was right, she returned and relaunched the business using the growing reach of the internet, continuing to build on the foundation she had started.
In the early 2000s, my mom, Vicki, joined her, and together they grew the business, serving organizations across the country. After my aunt retired, my mom carried that legacy forward, rebranding the company as The Joshua Connection and continuing to serve clients like the Elks, Little League, and many others with dedication and care.
Now, over 20 years later, I’ve joined the business and continued that legacy with a new chapter: TJC Pins. The name honors the foundation built by my aunt and mom — carrying forward the same values, experience, and commitment to quality.
From the beginning, this has been a woman-owned business, and it remains so today.
The name The Joshua Connection was inspired by Joshua 24:15:
“But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
That same posture continues at TJC Pins. We strive to serve the Lord in all we do and pursue excellence in our work — in how we serve our customers, and in every piece we create.
